WE HOPE STUDENTS ENJOY THEIR SUMMER !!! WE WILL SEE YOU IN AUGUST !!!

Kings Local School District will be participating in a Summer Lunch Program. We have 2 locations with different options. Children do not need to be enrolled in Kings Local Schools to participate. The program offers FREE meals to ALL children 1 and 18 years of age. Youth ages 19-21 with a mental or physical disability who participate  during the school year in a public or private nonprofit school program are also eligible to receive FREE meals. Visit the "Summer Meal Program" tab on the Food Service website for more information. If you have any questions please call Jennifer Arlinghaus, Food Service Director, Kings Local Schools at (513) 398-8050, ext. 10027.

The U.S.D.A. (United States Department of Agriculture) announced that they will be extending the Free Lunch Benefit for all school aged children through the 2021-2022 School Year. A healthy breakfast and lunch meal will be available for each child if they wish to participate, one breakfast tray and one lunch tray will be available at no cost.

Additional items will be made available. If a student wishes to purchase a second meal or other alacarte items (i.e., healthy snack, beverages)  these will be available for purchase. All meals and alacarte items meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

We welcome students to participate in joining us for school meals. In accordance with the standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Education, the Food Service Department has developed new procedures to assure the safety of our students and staff while in the cafeteria.

The Food Service Department would appreciate if meals can be prepaid in advance either by using the online prepayment system www.payforit.net or be sending payments in on a weekly basis. As a safety precaution the lunchroom staff will not be returning change from a transaction. Any and all cash that is received from the student will be deposited into their meal account. This is a safety precaution to help reduce touch point transactions at cashier stations. Payments can also be mailed directly to the Food Service Department at 1797 King Avenue, Kings Mills OH 45034. Checks can be made out to: Kings Local School District: Food Service.
